President & CEO, Midland Chamber of Commerce
Bobby Burns has more than 30 years business experience. Mr. Burns served three terms as Mayor of Midland and is passionate about creating the best business climate on the planet in Midland Texas which will include the tourism and hospitality industry.
Vice President, Convention & Visitors Bureau
Gaylia Olivas has a combined 16 years of hospitality and tourism industry experience. Ms. Olivas has worked seven years specifically in the hotel industry in addition to the nine years at the Midland CVB. Ms. Olivas has lived and worked in Midland for over 38 years.
Administrative Assistant to CVB
Norma Chavez has been with the CVB since July 2006. She has 26 years combined experience in secretarial, administrative and supervisory functions.
Tourism & Public Relations Manager
Brenda Kissko has been on staff since June 2007 and currently serves on the Texas Association of Convention & Visitors Bureau (TACVB) Board of Directors, the Texas Travel Industry Association (TTIA) Board of Directors, and was the first person to receive the TTIA Rising Star Award. She has a bachelor of arts in advertising and a minor in architecture.
Sports Sales Manager
Sarah Marston is up to bat for Midland as the new Sports Sales Manager at the Midland Convention and Visitors Bureau. In 2005 Sarah joined the Midland CVB as the Convention Sales Manager and for two years she helped our team by bring conventions, meetings and events to the Tall City. She returned in 2011 as the Servicing Manager taking care of those visitors who attend the conventions, meetings and sporting events in our community. Sarah was promoted to the Sports Sales Manager in early 2013. She also oversees the Sports and Entertainment Association of Midland (SEAM) which helps assist local groups hosting out of town visitors for sporting and entertainment business to our city. Sarah has a background in media relations and community relations.
Sarah was born and raised in Midland, Texas; playing softball at MUGS and for Midland High School. She is married and raising two little girls here in her hometown.

Convention Sales Manager
Cara McKinney has been with the CVB since October 2011. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communications with a minor in management from The University of Texas of the Permian Basin. Previously, Cara served as the Healthcare Marketing Director at The Village at Manor Park, a local retirement community. Cara was born and raised in West Texas and has called Midland home since 1998.
Servicing Sales Manager
Shannon attended Fort Hays State University in her hometown of Hays, Kansas, and received a degree in Business with an emphasis in Marketing. She has worked in the Marketing industry for 7 years, with the majority of that time spent in telecommunications. Shannon has previously been involved in several local organizations such as Big Brother Big Sisters, Hays Area Young Professionals, Hays Area Chamber of Commerce, and United Way. She is looking forward to becoming involved in Midland and felt the CVB was a great place to start!
As the Servicing Sales Manager, Shannon will work with local groups and organizations to inform them on meeting services available through the CVB, assist in servicing sports, entertainment, and conventions held in Midland, and help to market the CVB through social media and other forms of advertising.
Shannon lives in Midland with her fiancé and their Chihuahua. They enjoy attending Rockhounds games, barbecuing, movies, and traveling to see family and friends.
Midland Visitors Center Manager
Daisy has worked in customer service for 30+ years. She has been with Midland CVB since June 2007 and has been with Midland Visitors Center since opening in January 2008. She oversees all the operation of the Visitors Center with the help of wonderful volunteers and two part-time employees. Daisy loves to spend time with her family and friends.
